Music Makers

09/30/2026

Music Makers & Fiddlers Wild will be closed today, September 30, in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day provides an opportunity to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as Survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities. We recognize the importance of listening, learning, reflecting, and continuing the work of reconciliation.

Music Makers & Fiddlers Wild will resume regular programming on our next scheduled day.

Thank you for your understanding and for joining us in respectfully recognizing this important day.

Wonderfully said Erin !

🎒 Welcome Back to School, SD46! 🍎

The backpacks are packed, the lunches are made (hopefully!), and a new school year is officially underway across the Sunshine Coast.

Here’s to a year of:

📚 Learning — discovering new ideas and building confidence.

💡 Growth — recognizing that every student learns differently and deserves the opportunity to succeed.

🤝 Connection — creating schools where students, families and educators feel heard, valued and supported.

🌱 Opportunity — helping students discover their strengths, interests and what their future might hold.

❤️ Community — supporting the Teachers, Education Assistants, administrators, support staff, parents and volunteers who make our schools what they are.

As a parent, community volunteer and candidate for SD46 School Trustee — Area 3, I’m looking forward to another year of listening, learning and advocating for our students and the people who support them.

Because no matter what role we play in public education, we share something important:

We all want our students to succeed.

Have a wonderful school year, Sunshine Coast! 🍎
