Pink salmon have started spawning in our creek in the past couple of weeks. We have seen a few people in the creek near the salmon, so we wanted to educate people about the importance of staying out of the water to protect the spawning salmon!

And off they go! Goodbye little pinks, until 2027 👋

The ~64,000 Chinook have been ponded into tank 19! These Chinook were produced from adults in the fall of 2025 from Chilliwack Hatchery and then moved here as eyed eggs.

They should stay with us until May/June 2026, then be released into Chapman Creek. Of these 64,000, between 64 and 3,200 will reach adulthood.

The pinks have been ponded!

There are approximately 3,700 pinks that were fertilized on October 6th, 2025. They’ll be staying in tub 2 for about 10 days before being released.

Out of the all the little fry in the tub, only around 18-185 adults will come back home. 🏠 🐟
