GET OUR LOCAL STUDENTS TO RIDE TO SCHOOL
REDUCE CONGESTION ON BRIMORTON DRIVE

This is a reminder of today's Bike Tune Up and Swap event, presented by School Council.
The event is entirely free of charge however parents can make a donation if they wish.
Bring a bike that you or your children have outgrown and swap it for another.
The goal of the event is to promote a health lifestyle and to get our local students to ride to school to reduce the congestion along Brimorton Drive.
Services provided by JIMMY the BIKE GUY.
Program will run on a first come, first served basis and will run in the BACKYARD (or the GYM, depending on the weather condition) of the school from 3:00-5:00 PM.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As Parents, Guardians and School Community Members, we have taken part in enriching the education experience of our kids. Completing the School Statement of Needs (SSoN) Priorities is one of the ways to ensure that your children's' School Principal reflects the Vision and Priorities of the School Community.

The SSoN is a record of the main priorities of the Parent and School Community, to reflect the needs of each specific school. The SSoN records are updated in November of each year and maintained by the TDSB for every school. This record is updated based on the Statement of Needs collected and compiled by the School Councils in partnership with the Parent Community.

When there is a need to appoint a new Principal, or a change of Principal, the SSON record will be consulted by the Superintendent and the Trustee as criteria towards appointing a suitable Principal for the school. Hence, it is very important to keep this record up to date to reflect the current needs of the school community, each year.

So, as your CHPS School Council, it is time for us to request all our parents and community members, to get involved and let us know your Visions/Priorities for our school, for this 2021-2022 school year, by filling out the SSoN form. Please refer to the Description in the beginning of the form for more information on the SSON.

PLEASE NOTE: We also encourage you to get in touch with us, if you are interested in helping to prepare the final draft of the SSoN record, which will be submitted to the Superintendent and Trustee of our Ward.
