Insha Allah, there will be a musalsalat hadith gathering on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Jamiah Qasimul Uloom with Shaykh al-Hadith Molana Hanif Sahib.

*Musalsal hadith chains have recurring words, actions, or qualities which can be traced back many generations. For example, a teacher reciting Surah Saff to their students prior to narrating a hadith, and their teacher doing the same, happening in most (if not every single) generation(s).

Musalsal chains are now read for barakah purposes and to uphold a tradition of the ulama.

Scholars have compiled books with Musalsal narrations. Some notable scholars would be Imams, Dhahabi, Qurtubi, Suyuti, Shah Waliyullah, and Muhamamd Abdul Baqi Ayyubi

In the recent past, Shaykh Yunus Jonpuri and Shaykh Abdul Haqq Azami would hold a gathering every year and they would hand out ijazah to students and ulama who attend. Sometimes these gathering would have more students in attendance in comparison to the annual Sahih Bukhari completion. Scholars and students would go over and over, even though they had previously acquired an ijazah.

In the sacred month of Muharram, fasting isn't obligatory, but those who choose to fast are promised a great reward from Allah Almighty! Among the Nafl fasts, the ones observed willingly hold a special place.
Remember, you don't need to fast the entire month to attain the promised rewards! Each fast in Muharram carries its own merit. So, seize this opportunity and maximize your blessings!

Takbir Tashriq should be read everyday after each Fard Salah. Remember to read it everyday until the 13th of Dhul Hijjah!
