One tiny word can sabotage your TEF or TCF score — the preposition after your verb!

You know the verb, you know the vocab… but à or de? That little choice can make or break your sentence. Let's fix that today. 👇

Verbs that take À (+ infinitive):
✅ commencer à travailler = to start working
✅ réussir à comprendre = to succeed in understanding
✅ apprendre à conduire = to learn to drive
✅ continuer à parler = to continue speaking

Verbs that take DE (+ infinitive):
✅ arrêter de fumer = to stop smoking
✅ éviter de parler = to avoid speaking
✅ décider de partir = to decide to leave
✅ essayer de comprendre = to try to understand

How do you say "new" in French? Nouveau, nouvel, nouvelle, or nouveaux? 🤔

French adjectives change form depending on gender, number, and even the sound of the next word! Here's the full breakdown of "new" in French 👇

✅ Nouveau = New (masculine singular + consonant) → J'ai un nouveau téléphone. (I have a new phone.) 📱
✅ Nouvel = New (masculine singular + vowel/silent H) → J'ai un nouvel ordinateur. (I have a new computer.) 💻
✅ Nouveaux = New (masculine plural) → J'ai de nouveaux vêtements. (I have new clothes.) 👕
