Assalaamu alaikum friends

Last year I joined an “Online digital business” which is actually a high ticket affiliate marketing system. I watched the commission videos and loved the idea of earning from home. Because it was different from a pyramid scheme, I went ahead seeing my mentor and coach. Please don’t ask me to name them.

I paid no heed to anyone who said that it isn’t a business in the true sense of the word and turns out, so many women like me are working in this “affiliate marketing” and calling it business.

I still had doubts but I went on because there are so many Muslims doing this work. I asked many people in the “business” if it was halal and they said, oh look, everything is transparent, we’re not forcing anyone. You don’t have to join it if “it’s not for you”.

Fact is, this maybe the best “ business model” out there in the world, but in Islam, network marketing has no place. Many Muslim sisters claim they are learned, they are “Aalimah” and feel it is right according to them, please know that only M***i can issue a ruling. I studied Quran commentary, I still have to consult a m***i for clarity of any matter. And alhmdulillah my mentor consulted and affirmed it.
