Today for we are proud to highlight Annabelle Lefebvre 🌟❤

In her practicum as a Student-Refugee Coordinator, Annabelle has made a meaningful impact: recruiting more than 50 volunteers, establishing a new WUSC committee at Algoma, and organizing campus events to raise awareness about the realities faced by refugees worldwide.

She has also contributed through blog writing and by building strong partnerships both on and off campus. Currently, Annabelle is supporting preparations for the arrival of two incoming students for the 2026–2027 school year, including coordinating their admission, housing, and essential needs.

It has been such a pleasure working with Annabelle. She is a strong example of how empowers students to grow as leaders while making a meaningful difference in their communities! ❤ Thank you for your passion and hard work Annabelle!

Stepping into a medical student’s shoes 🩺

Over Reading Week, three Algoma University students travelled to Georgia, USA to participate in the Trinity Medical Sciences University mini-clerkship experience. The program offers undergraduate students a chance to step into a real medical learning environment and get a first-hand look at what medical school is like.

Experiences like this help students explore future pathways while bringing new perspectives back to our community.
