Vacation weeks for this summer are finalized!

I'll be off July 1st to 8th, returning on the 9th, and then the week of August 25 to 29, returning September 2nd.

Morning all. As everyone is aware, we have 2 kids of our own, and our oldest is graduating grade 8 this year! That being said, Tyler's graduation is on Tuesday, June 25th, and I'll be off that day. Thanks for understanding!

Hello everyone! We have finalized our vacation plans, so I am giving ample notice for when I am off. My brother and his family are coming home for the first time in 5 years, and we'll be spending as much time as we can with them, so I will be off Friday July 19th, and the week of July 22-26, back on Monday the 29th. The second week, I'll be off Friday August 16 to prepare to leave on the Saturday. Will be off the week of 19-23, back on Monday, August 26th. As always, I don't get paid while I am on vacation. Morning everyone! I've decided on my second week of vacation for the summer, and I'm taking off the last week of August. So August 28th to September 1st, as well as the holiday on Monday. So my last day will be Friday, August 25th, and back on Tuesday, September 5th. Thanks everyone. I hope we all continue to have a great summer!

Hello everyone!

I am beyond happy to say that after almost 4 years, we are going to Georgia to see my brother, sister-in-law, nephew and twin nieces! That being said, I am giving a couple months notice of my first week of holidays for this summer. I will be off starting on Saturday, July 1st. I will be back to work on Tuesday, July 11th. Sounds like a lot, but with the holiday Monday, it's actually only 5 vacation days for me.

I'll let everyone know closer to the time when I decide my second week off. Typically it's the last week before the kids go back to school, but once Joe and I decide for sure, you'll be given plenty of notice.

As an add-on to my post from January 2nd. The holidays that I am closed for are as follows.

I MAY be able/willing to work on certain holidays, if needed, however I will be paid at twice my rate (60, 70 or 80).

Effective now, I have made some changes to the daycare and am sending this message to all to let everyone know.

Everyone who is currently here, came in with being told that I need 3 days a week to secure a spot. That hasn't been taking place for quite awhile now, and unfortunately, that is a term that is being changed.

Effective now and for 2023:

*** Each child will be alloted 15 sick days per year that are unpaid. Once you go over that, they will be paid with the rules listed below:

- If the child was taken on as a part time child, they will continue with paying for 3 days per week, whether they are present or not.

- If the child was taken on as a full time child, they will continue with paying 5 days per week, whether they are present or not.

*** Each family is entitled to 2 weeks (10 days) of unpaid holidays. Anything beyond that, the spot of said child is to be paid for the 3 or 5 days they were accepted into my care for, as seen above.

That is 25 days of unpaid daycare days on the families side. That does not include my holidays, or statutory holidays.

*** I will be taking 2-3 weeks of holidays, as always, with 2 weeks of notice, minimum. My 2 or 3 weeks of holidays are unpaid.

*** I do not always work on holidays, but if needed, I may be able. However, I will be paid extra in the form of twice my pay (60, 70 or 80).

*** I am to be paid at the end of every week, or the end of every 2 weeks unless special arrangements are discussed and agreed to.

*** Any sick days that I take for myself or my children are unpaid by the families, and as you all know, I try to keep that to a bare minimum.

I have not raised my rates in years, and I do not intend to. I am more than accommodating with changing schedules on the daily, typically always being available, and caring for your children as I do my own children, and I believe it's more than time that I put my proverbial foot down about the amount of missing kids, equaling missing pay for myself. I have my own expenses and bills, just as all of my families do, and sitting here with a child or two when I'm supposed to have 5 is not cutting it for me. At the end of every 2 weeks, you'll be notified, as always, with the amount owing, and I'll also start to include the amount of unpaid days remaining.
