I created Reclaiming Her Consulting as an Indigenous woman who fought hard for her own safety, healing& peace.

I help other women do the same.Whether through workshops, speaking, or community support, I’m here to help Indigenous women feel seen, & safe.

I started this then it slowly tapered off . I’m coming back to this, I started to lose confidence. I started to think that people don’t want to hear me speak I got the imposter syndrome thinking why would anyone wanna hear what I have to say.

I am three months away from my wedding. I’m working full-time but Reclaiming Her is super important to me and I haven’t forgotten what I want to do with this and I’m going to continue ❤️

For so long, I lived inside statistics about Indigenous women… but they never told the whole story of my strength, my survival, or my healing.

I lived these numbers — and now I’m rewriting them.
For me. For my kids. For every woman who deserves safety and peace. 🤎✨

Last night I had a realization that hit me hard:

For a long time, I honestly believed that if someone loved you… they were mean to you.
I thought that’s just how relationships worked — everyone had their own private version of it and I just didn’t know how to hide it as well as other people.

Somewhere along the way I convinced myself that being treated poorly was normal, or that I somehow deserved it.

But healing has taught me something different:

Love is not supposed to confuse you.
Love is not supposed to break you down.
Love is not supposed to make you smaller.

When you grow up around dysfunction, disrespect can start to feel familiar — and familiar can be mistaken for “love.”

But real love?
Real love is gentle.
Real love is steady.
Real love sees your spirit and protects it.

If you’re unlearning these patterns too, you’re not alone.
You are not “too sensitive.”
You are not “hard to love.”
You are not the problem.

You just finally know the difference between attention and respect… between control and care… between chaos and connection.

This is what reclaiming yourself looks like. ✨🖤

My name is Heather Lamb. I am an Indigenous woman, a mother, and a woman in long-term recovery. I have been sober for 11 years, and my healing journey has taught me that sobriety alone does not equal safety, peace, or healthy relationships.

I have lived through multiple domestically abusive relationships, including experiences that occurred while I was sober. I know firsthand what it means to crave chaos, to confuse intensity with love, and to believe that fixing broken men would somehow make me worthy.

I have navigated the realities of emergency protection orders, physical violence, threats, stalking, and violations of my privacy. I have also had to face the painful truth of choosing unsafe relationships over myself — and at times, over my children. These experiences shaped me, but they do not define me.

Through deep healing, accountability, and emotional regulation work, I learned that abuse is not always loud, addiction is not always the root, and survival patterns can live quietly beneath sobriety.

Reclaim Her Consulting exists because Indigenous women deserve more than survival. They deserve safety, boundaries, calm, and sovereignty. My work is trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and rooted in lived experience. I offer workshops, speaking, and community education focused on emotional safety, sacred boundaries, and reclaiming one’s voice after harm.

This is a space for Indigenous women who are choosing healing over chaos — and peace over patterns.
