We are called to be Pilgrims of Hope by living as peacemakers.

Prayer of St. Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

We are called to be Pilgrims of Hope by serving in solidarity. May our hearts be open to those around us, and may we act as instruments of peace and compassion.

We are called to be Pilgrims of Hope by responding to the poverties in our world. May we recognize the call to act in solidarity, work together, and share our time, energy, skills and talents, and wealth with others.

We are called to be Pilgrims of Hope by caring for creation. May we be ever mindful of the fragility and interconnectedness of all creation as we work to live in harmony with all creatures and preserve the earth's beauty and goodness for ourselves and all generations to come.

We are called to be Pilgrims of Hope by honouring human dignity. As we journey together as Pilgrims of Hope and builders of peace, let us honour human dignity as we welcome everyone into our communities with open hearts of love and kindness.

We are called to love as a people of joy.

Our Lord is the source of our deepest, lasting joy. May that joy overflow into love for every person we encounter.

“Our heart is glad in the Lord, because we trust in his holy name.” Psalm 33:21

We are called to love as a people of justice.

As servant leaders, we support and empower one another, seek justice for humanity, and build a more equitable and inclusive society.

“Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with God.” Micah 6:8

We are called to love as a people of mercy.

“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36

We are called to be the instruments of peace and reconciliation in the world.

We are called to love as a people of faith.

“For in Christ Jesus… the only thing that counts is faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6

Through courage, peace, and love we strengthen our faith and work to serve others.

We are called to love as a people of hope. God is our hope, who brought love, peace, and joy into the world.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.” Romans 15:13
