Join the University of Saskatchewan's Fruit Program at Crossmount Cider Company (30 Glen Rd, Crossmount, SK) on August 22 for a hands-on budding and grafting workshop designed for home gardeners, producers, and anyone interested in learning how fruit trees are propagated. Participants will receive expert instruction through presentations, demonstrations, and guided practice, with all materials provided. Attendees will also have the opportunity to apply their skills by grafting trees in Crossmount's research orchard. Trees will be available for purchase. Two sessions will be offered, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CST and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., CST with a maximum of 30 participants per session. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. The registration fee is $100 per person (tax inclusive), and payment may be made by cash or cheque (payable to the University of Saskatchewan) on the day of the workshop.
