Today we were honored to welcome Metropolitan-Archbishop of Winnipeg Most Rev. Michael Kwiatkowski and Nazar Duda from UCU to Bishop Filevich. We were very proud to showcase our cherished bilingual program, students, and staff!

🍁 Happy Canada Day!!! 🇨🇦

Enjoy a throwback to our early “Canada Day” spirit day in June. Turns out Pan David was the only one who thought it was Canada Day themed… everyone else coincidentally coordinated to dress like Pan David… Браво!!! 👏

May God bless Canada as a nation. At its origin, Canada was declared a dominion in honour of Psalm 72:8 “He shall have dominion also from sea to sea.” May this land (which also stretches from sea to sea) be a place of refuge for all, inspired by our walk toward harmony, reconciliation, and peace. Слава Ісусу Христу! Слава навіки!

As Graduation Week draws to a close we would like to wish a heartfelt congratulations to all 2026 High School Graduates. We were truly honoured to welcome so many Bishop Filevich alumni together to reunite for graduation pictures! Their gathering and continued friendship remind us just how special our school community truly is. Enjoy the summer my friends, for in the fall it all begins again… and another question arises… who will win the SECOND annual Кубок Владики Філевича??? Will it be ❤️ 💙 💚 or 🧡 ⁉️ We are excited to find out. Regardless, the way that this school comes together to uphold our faith and culture, we are all winners 🥇

🇺🇦 When you’re at a Ukrainian school, the year is almost done, and the house league teams are nearly tied what else do you do but have a dance off!!!! Each team had an opportunity to receive coaching from experienced dancers with Pavlychenko Folklorique Ensemble and Rushnychok Ukrainian Folk Dance Association. Then they competed with moves learned today as well as those that have been developed over the years. THIS is another example of how Ukrainian culture is thriving within our walls. Our culture was extended to another generation today in a beautiful way as students and staff danced, clapped, smiled, and laughed together. Who do you think won? ❤️ 💙 💚 or 🧡 ⁉️
