👩‍🎓 It was with great joy that we celebrated the learning of our kindergarten class during our kinder-farewell! We had an awesome year with these amazing young scholars under the leadership of an incredible teacher in Pani Yuliia. Our kinder-students are excited to return and no longer be the youngest students in the school. ☀️

As the old saying goes, “A family that prays together, stays together.” This holds true here with our Filevich family! We were very fortunate to celebrate our year end Divine Liturgy at St George’s Cathedral this past week. Please join us in saying “дякую” to Bishop Michael and many of the priests of the Eparchy of Saskatoon for making this possible. Also help us extend a “дякую” also to the many community and family members who joined us, including Pani Nadia who joined us as our guest cantor 💙 💛.

On behalf of the Bishop Filevich School Community, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Pan David for his passion, dedication, and leadership this past year. His genuine care for students, unwavering support of staff, and deep commitment to our faith, Ukrainian traditions, and the Bishop Filevich community have made a lasting impact on our school. Through his enthusiasm, kindness, and tireless efforts, he helped strengthen our school and create a welcoming environment where students and families could thrive.

While we are sad to see him leave, we are excited for Pan David and his family as they begin a new chapter in a new community. He has accepted an opportunity to serve as a Vice-Principal closer to extended family. We are grateful for all he has contributed to Bishop Filevich and wish him and his family every blessing in this next journey.

We are also excited to welcome Pani Jillian as our new Vice-Principal. With 17 years of experience in Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong commitment to student success. We look forward to her serving as our learning assistance teacher (LAT) and Vice Prinicpal.
