September feels like New Year's to me which calls for a reintroduction as well as a celebration for being a Canada Small Business 100 Nominee!
From a lifelong passion for dance to founding Saskatoon Pole & Dance Studio in 2018, my entrepreneurial journey has been driven by one mission: creating inclusive, empowering spaces through movement.
This path has been deeply personal. Navigating through seasons of personal trauma taught me firsthand that movement is more than just physical exercise—it is a powerful vehicle for healing, resilience, and reclaiming self-worth. Building the studio wasn't just about launching a business; it was about founding a safe haven where others could process, grow, and build strength within a supportive community.
Alongside growing the studio, I’ve expanded into national event production as the Organizer for Pole Theatre Canada and launched Axis Pole & Talent Management—balancing creative movement education with the operational grit of running live events and driving enterprise growth.
Entrepreneurship hasn't been linear, but overcoming personal and professional hurdles has refined my leadership and deepened my commitment to community impact.
Grateful for every step, every milestone, and the incredible community that makes this work worth doing.
From your founder,
