We (I say we as it is the students, learning families, communities and myself) are incredibly grateful and excited to share that we have been nominated for the Saskatoon Community Votes 2026! 🎉

This nomination is more than just recognition—it is a celebration of the amazing students, families, and community members who make our learning community so special. Every learning session, every learning breakthrough, every moment of growth, and every success story is possible because of the support, trust, and encouragement we receive from all of you.

The goal has always been to create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their skills, and discover a love of learning. Being recognized by our community is truly an honour, and we are so thankful for everyone who has been part of this journey.

June 2026 Tutor News 📰

I’ve created these Spelling & Reading Posters to help my students strengthen their literacy skills through clear, consistent visual support grounded in structured literacy approaches (inspired by UFLI and Orton-Gillingham).

These posters are designed to support—not replace—direct instruction, giving students simple visual reminders they can return to again and again as they build confidence with reading and spelling patterns.
🖤 Mostly black and white for easy printing (with some colored mouth visuals that can still print in grayscale)
📘 Perfect for student notebooks, bulletin boards, and daily review

🏠 My learning families will receive these throughout our learning together to support practice at home

Today we celebrate World Wish Day 💙

This day is especially close to my heart, as I was a wish recipient back in 2002 through Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was an experience that brought so much joy, hope, and magic into my life during a time when it was needed most.

To my amazing learning families—this day is a reminder of the importance of hope, kindness, and lifting one another up. Just like wishes, the support, encouragement, and care you show your children each day creates moments of joy and confidence that last a lifetime.

Let’s continue to create those “wish-like” moments for our learners—ones filled with encouragement, celebration, and belief in what’s possible. 💫

I feel so grateful to share my journey with all of you and to be part of your learning journey filled with growth and success. 💙
