Co-presented by First Nations University of Canada, One Book One Province Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Library Association, Saskatchewan Writer's Guild, University of Regina Press, funded by Sask Lotteries in partnership with Sask Culture.
Sherry Farrell-Racette is an interdisciplinary scholar with an active arts and curatorial practice. Her work is grounded in story: stories of people, stories that objects tell, painting stories, telling stories and finding stories. She also has an extensive career in Saskatchewan education, working at SUNTEP Regina (GDI), First Nations University of Canada, and the University of Regina.

Are you passionate about communicating the importance of prescribed fire? We're seeking a dedicated communications coordinator to join our team, based at the Meewasin head office in Saskatoon.
This four-year term position will lead communications and engagement efforts that support training, partnerships, and knowledge sharing across a growing network of practitioners, landowners, and organizations. You'll develop strategic communications, create compelling digital content, support media relations, and translate complex fire science into accessible, engaging stories. From social media and web content to podcasts and multimedia, you’ll play a key role in strengthening awareness and understanding of prescribed fire as a safe and essential land management tool.

Join USask grassland ecologist Dr. Eric Lamb (PhD) on Saturday, May 9 for a field tour to celebrate the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists!
Dr. Lamb will lead a guided hike through the Biddulph Natural Area. Biddulph is a mosaic of native grasslands over stabilized sand dunes, forest, and wetland that supports more than 300 plant species and a population of the threatened Gibsons Big Sand Tiger Beetle.
