Fundraising!
We have raffle tickets for sale from March 22 to April 3. Tickets are $20 each and you will be entered to win a beautiful locally made Starblanket or a set of 3 floral pattern Babushkas/Kukom Scarves. All proceeds will be donated to relief efforts in Ukraine.

We are looking to fill 2 position in our Centre. 1. Full time ECE. Must have ECE level I or II, valid First Aid & CPR "C" as well as a recent record check including a volnerable sector search. And be available for shifts within the hours of 730- 530.
2. We are looking for a Cook/ECE. This person will prepare breakfast, lunch and snack as well as working with children daily. Must have an ECE Level I, valid First Aid and CPR "C" as well as a recent record check including a volnerable sector search.

Working with children ages 18 months to Kindergarten in a Licensed Childcare Centre. This is a full time position. Applicants must be available between the hours of 730am and 530pm, must have a minimum ECE level I, valid first aid & cpr "c" and recent record check.
We are looking for someone to fill the position of cook/ece in our 35 space licensed Centre.
Must have ece level I(min), valid first aid and cpr "c" and a record check less than 6 months old which includes the volnerable sector search.
This position is 37 hours a week

As of Monday July 12th we will be scheduling in person tours during regular business hours. With Covid restrictions lifting we will have some full and part time spaces available for all ages. *School age care provided for July and August only. History
First Nations Child Development Cenre, Inc. was founded in 1979, as the first city based child development centre that was oriented towards aboriginal traditions, culture, history and language. Originally the Centre was located on 3rd Ave, next to the old friendship centre. While some work was being done a building next door, the Centre’s building was damaged beyond repair. The Centre soon moved to the basement of St. Mary’s school. It was decided the space was not right for the Centre. The Parent Board and Director then set out to find a suitable home for the Centre and settled at 211 5th Ave. North, where the Centre has been located since 1990. Although the Centre has always been open to all families, it seems there has been some misconception through the years, this has lead us to the most recent name change. As of now we are known as Downtown Early Learning Centre and will remain under this name. Our Not-for-Profit Centre provides care to children 18 months and up and is lisenced for 39 spaces. We look forward to many more years serving the families and community of Downtown, Saskatoon.
