The Gabriel Dumont Institute sends its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Jean Fisher. Jean and her late husband Dennis bestowed their enormous collection of artifacts and other ephemera to the Institute. The Dennis and Jean Fisher Collection showcases many one-of-a-kind items relating to the 1885 Resistance, to Gabriel Dumont, Louis Riel, and to other aspects of Métis history and culture. We remember Jean and Dennis fondly for their generosity and kindness.
