For more than two decades, Sask Polytech has recognized exceptional individuals whose achievements and service have made a lasting impact across the province. At its Regina campus convocation, Sask Polytech awarded Leon Friesen an honorary degree in applied studies.

Leon co-founded Westridge Construction Ltd. with three partners in Regina in 1989. He led the company for more than 30 years, guided by a commitment to integrity, quality and community.
