DYK? Of the Huskies 16 Hardy Cup titles in the Canada West era, six were earned by defeating the UBC Thunderbirds - more than any other opponent.

The most recent was in 2022.

The Tbirds have only beaten the Dogs once for the conference championship, in 1976.

Battling the Calgary Dinos on a crisp fall day at Griffiths. Based on the lack of foliage and assuming that's Dan Farthing with the ball, we believe this is from Oct. 10, 1987, a game the Huskies lost 16-14. Farthing's other home games vs Calgary were all in early September.

DYK? Griffiths Stadium is named after Ernest Wynne "Joe" Griffiths, who became USask's Physical Director in 1919.

The original facility opened in 1936 on the corner of College Dr & Cumberland Ave and was used until the current stadium began operations in 1967.

DL Charlie Parks selected by the Ottawa Redblacks in the 4th round, 31st overall.

OL Jack Warrack selected by the Calgary Stampeders in the 8th round, 71st overall.
