Earlier this month the Soil Science department was represented by this sharp looking crew at the Canadian Society of Soil Science's annual conference in Vancouver. The department's research quality was on full display thanks to these fine folks, and one of our M.Sc. students, Amelia, took home the first prize in the poster competion for her research on regenerative agriculture! Thanks all for representing our department so well on the national stage!

Hi everyone! If you did not know the SSGSA is planning to host a bottle drive the 2nd weekend in June (June 8th-10th). If you have not started already, please start collecting your pop/beer cans and bottles to donate to the SSGSA. There are a few different donation options for donating your cans/bottles:

1. Bring your cans and bottles into the AgBio building soil science lunchroom during the week of the can drive. Please email Catherine if you are choosing this option: [email protected]
2. Have your cans picked up from your house by signing the pickup sheet in the soil science office if you would like your cans picked up on June 10th. Please email Catherine ([email protected]) your address by Wedneday the 6th so we can create a route.
3. Drop them off at Sarcan for us by bringing your cans to the Sarcan drop and go at the Sarcan East location (350B-103 Street East). The name/account will be under the SSGSA email: [email protected]

Thanks everyone and let us know if you have any questions regarding the SSGSA Can Drive.
