Multicultural Bhangra Club

The Multicultural Bhangra Club is a club that was created to teach individuals the energetic art of dance called Bhangra.

Our mission is to share our cultural and traditional dances with the population of Saskatoon. Our teachers have the benefit of being raised as Indo-Canadians therefore we welcome all sorts of ethnicities to come and join. Each individual will be worked with closely according to their learning abilities. We would like to welcome Manpreet Kaur as the new instructor who will be taking over Baljot Grewal who is focusing on her studies.

MBC Saskatoon celebrated their 4th anniversary at Holy Family Catholic School with potluck supper. Participants and instructors received trophies and awards.

MBC Saskatoon will resume classes for Bhangra, Giddha and Bollywood on February 3rd.

Please email [email protected] by January 25th if your child is planning on taking any of the three type of dances. We will be splitting the beginners and junior Bhangra classes as there were more kids registered than anticipated before Christmas.

The capacity for each classes will be limited to the following. If you would like to have your child participate in the class let me know by the deadline. After that, you will have to wait until another time slot is opened up.

Beginner Bhangra 1 - 3-4 pm - 10 kids
Beginner Bhangra 2 - 3-4 pm - 10 kids (only if first class is full)

Beginners Bollywood - 3-4 pm - 8 kids

Junior Bhangra 1 - 4-5 pm - 6 kids
Junior Bhangra 2 - 4-5 pm 8 to 10 kids

Giddha beginners- 4-5 pm - 10 kids (will only take place if we have min 6)
Giddha performing girls - 5-6 pm - 8 to 10 kids

Senior Bhangra - 5-6pm - 6 kids

Please let me know if you will be away in February and March as we have performances coming up.

Commitment is a MUST. We cannot accept attendance if you are panning to come periodically. Instructors do the best to choreograph dances and when kids miss classes, it becomes difficult for not only the instructors but other participants as well.
