"I had some thoughts about the ways in which we mourn thousands of children killed in residential schools and yet larger society continues to ignore the the little ones who are still with us.

We have the highest rates of children in child welfare system... highest rates of children who die in that system... high rate of youth gang involvement, youth homelessness, child poverty, .... those babies also grow up and become the youth and adults we also ignore.

When you honor the babies whose
lives were stolen in IRS system... I hope you are also reaching out to the babies who still here and who are trying to survive this fu**ed up world on their own".

To my late mother, Beatrice Adams. To all the amazing women who have loved me like a daughter in this life. To the single parent who mothers and fathers (the strongest people I know).To the Kokhums, Aunties, Sisters and amazing friends I have who mother or will be mothers.
