What if education wasn’t primarily about winning, achieving, collecting awards, or earning recognition?

What if it was about becoming more fully who we are?

Intrinsic motivation invites us to learn because we are curious. Because something matters to us. Because we want to understand, contribute, connect, question, wonder, and grow.

Extrinsic motivation—grades, prizes, rankings, praise, recognition can certainly motivate us. But when these become the destination, we can begin to measure our worth by what we receive rather than who we are becoming.

Flourishing asks us to look beyond the trophy.

🌱 What gives our learning meaning and purpose?

Perhaps the goal isn’t to raise children who are constantly striving to win, but people who are grounded enough to know why they are learning, what they value, and how they want to show up in the world.

Because flourishing isn’t about being recognized for who we are.

What an amazing way to celebrate the end of the school year! 🌲☀️

Our students had an unforgettable overnight camping adventure at Redberry Lake filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences. From horse riding, archery, swimming, and wall climbing to campfire activities and team-building challenges, every student had the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, build confidence, and create lasting memories with friends.

The smiles, teamwork, and excitement throughout the trip were truly wonderful to see. We are so proud of our students for embracing every activity with enthusiasm and courage!

Our elementary students recently put their creativity, teamwork, and literacy skills on display as they created and performed puppet shows for our younger class!

After designing and making their own puppets, students worked together to bring beloved children's books to life through narration and performance. The younger students were captivated by the stories, characters, and enthusiasm of their older peers.

What a wonderful way to build confidence, encourage reading, and create meaningful connections between students of different ages. We are so proud of the hard work, imagination, and leadership our students demonstrated throughout this special project! 📚🎭✨

Students enjoyed a meaningful afternoon visit to Wanuskewin on Wednesday, May 20th, where they went on a bison, walk , sampled fresh bannock, and experienced the beauty of Indigenous dancing and culture. A wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and appreciate local heritage!
