Accredited by the Council of Ministers of Education Canada (CMEC), Explore is a French Immersion program specifically designed for students to study French as a Second Language.

Requirements:

▪️Be 18+ (online) 19+ (in-person)
▪️Be a FT or PT student
▪️Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

In level-specific classrooms, students learn themes, vocabulary, and grammar taught with communicative and experiential methods, participate in group projects and activities, and focus on conversation, discussions, and debates. Instruction in all levels includes the study of the short story Le Petit Prince.

For admission into Explore, you will first apply for the bursary. Once you get an email from CMEC that you have been granted a bursary, you will register for the University of Saskatchewan's Explore Program within five days.

Intro to Spanish Basics - Language Courses - Non-Credit Thank you! With your support, USask's Be What the World Needs campaign raised a historic amount to help tackle the world's greatest challenges.

Want to have a fun summer learning French and earn 6 academic credits? Know someone who would?

Spring 2026 programs are full however, there is still time to enroll for our July online program!

🟪Limited spots are available for the Explore French Immersion Program at the University of Saskatchewan. Enroll by June 26th for the July Summer 2026 program which runs online for the month of July. This program includes level-specific French classes with awesome instructors and a variety of fabulous art and cultural activities.

🟪Current full-time and part-time post-secondary students will likely qualify for the Explore bursary which covers most of the cost of the program (minus a $275 registration fee).

🟪Students from other post-secondary institutions are welcome!
Students do not have to be USask students to participate or to qualify for bursaries.
🟪Students must be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.
