Tournament 5 on December 13 was one of our largest virtual events with 70 students, 45 judges, and 20 observers. A round of applause for the winners! 👏👏👏👏

Tournament 4, hosted at Luther College High School in Regina on November 29, welcomed students from Regina, Saskatoon, Estevan, Swift Current, and Yorkton, plus another French division. We filled a bus with students and volunteers from Saskatoon! 🎉

Eighteen students practiced their public speaking skills at our online Speech tournament on November 22. Some of the persuasive speech topics the students chose included pollution, fast fashion, social media, volunteering, the opioid crisis, and Canadian health care.

Elementary students tackled impromptu motions at Tournament 3 on November 8, given only 30 minutes to prepare each round! Congratulations to the winners. 🥇

Our first in-person tournament of the year, hosted at Centennial Collegiate on November 1, saw a record breaking 102 students from grades 5 to 12, including a French Language division. We filled a bus with students and volunteers from Regina! 🚌

Congratulations Walter Murray Collegiate students Yusef S. & Hudson D. and Ibrahim H. & Joyce X. who travelled to Calgary14 - 16 November to represent Saskatchewan at the National British Parliamentary Championship.

We were proud of both teams’ performance at the highly competitive event. Joyce and Ibrahim made it to the semi-finals and finished as 8th and 3rd speakers overall. 🏆
