So many of our familiar patterns of life, work and study have been interrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak. Classes and work have moved online and we are all trying to practice social distancing.
YXE Gets Groceries is a Facebook group created to help those in the vulnerable population get the groceries and essential items they need. It is a way for those who have a competent immune system and showing no symptoms to volunteer in the community. To become a volunteer join the page YXE Gets Groceries.
If you are currently in quarantine or a member of vulnerable population and currently unable to leave your house this is a way to get the essentials delivered to your door keeping yourself and others safe. Here is the link to request such services:

Dr. Veronica Campanucci, our guest speaker at the New Member Recognition Event spoke highly of her involvement at WUSC. WUSC is a global develop organization providing education, employment and empowerment for youth. WUSC is hosting three amazing events over the next month in support of women’s education. All proceeds going to the shine a light campaign.

Two more days until the Golden Key annual New Member Recognition Event and the 20th Anniversary for the Saskatoon Branch!
If you have not confirmed your attendance please do so as soon as possible so we can finalize numbers for food. You can RSVP on the events page under the NMRE or email the co-president at [email protected].
Finally, we are excited to announce the honorary members and speakers of the event.
Dr. Veronica Campanucci obtained her undergraduate at Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and her PhD at McMaster University. She focuses her research on the effect of pathological conditions on the nervous system, especially mechanisms triggered by oxidative stress.
Dr. Preston Smith completed his undergraduate degree as well as his postgraduate studies in Dalhousie University. He has held positions as a Fellow in the College of Family Physicians of Canada, Chief of Family Medicine, Chief of Medical Staff, and Vice-president of Medicine for the South-East Regional Health Authority in Nova Scotia, and the current Dean of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan.

Hey everyone! Continuing with introductions of our executive, we'd like you to meet: Michelle Manabat, Co-President!

Michelle is a fourth year student, pursuing degrees in both english and education. She hopes to become a highschool English teacher in the near future! Michelle enjoys getting involved the community and different events on campus, so you’ll be sure to see her at many USASK events as a smiling volunteer! This is Michelle’s first year as co-president of Golden Key, but is a returning member of the Golden Key executive.
