We were fortunate to have a parent visit our classroom to share a special cultural experience in celebration of Eid. The students had the opportunity to receive beautiful henna designs, creating a meaningful and hands-on connection to the tradition.
Henna is a natural dye made from the leaves of the henna plant. The leaves are dried, finely ground into a powder, and mixed into a paste that is used to create intricate, temporary designs on the skin. The stain gradually fades over time and is commonly used in many cultures to mark celebrations and special occasions.
This experience was a wonderful way for students to learn about and appreciate cultural traditions in an engaging and memorable way.
