If you are out on the roads today, it's time to use your winter driving skills.
-Clear the snow from your vehicle before you start driving.
-Take it slow and give yourself extra time.
-Check the Highway Hotline for road conditions in your area.
-Maintain a safe following distance.
-Be extra cautious around intersections.

Maintain a safe following distance by leaving at least three seconds between your vehicle and the one ahead of you.
Three seconds is the recommended distance in ideal driving conditions. If the road is slippery or visibility is reduced, increase your following distance up to six seconds.
