Opportunities for learning beyond traditional classrooms for children who deserve a better education.

We’ll be here with something special planned. If you’ve been curious about WebbSprout’s programs, drop by for a visit. It’s difficult to explain WebbSprout in words, so we’ll be bringing a bit of our energy on location so people can see what our neurodiversity affirming, student-centred programs feel like.

I’ll have a sensory friendly space set up for meet & greet opportunities so families can chat with me privately before booking a summer program!

More information coming this week! We are so excited by this opportunity! Thank you to everyone at Inclusion Saskatchewan for everything you do and for this incredible opportunity.

This is getting exciting!! Families are reaching out and I’m starting to plan summer programs. Coordinating the timing and group fit will be the biggest hurdle, but I’m grateful that so many parents are willing to collaborate in the planning.

Parental participation not only makes the planning process smoother, it helps create an experience that works for your child rather than a generic program your kid is expected to fit into.

For kids who struggle to get through a full school day, typical summer camps can be a daunting commitment. With Summer by Design, we plan something that fits the kids in the group.

By inviting a friend, it becomes a bit safer and more familiar. It gives kids the opportunity to strengthen relationships in a supportive environment.

For kids looking to find new friends, I’m looking at dates in late June or early July for a special single session to see if any groupings click.

I will apologize in advance for the length of the read here, folks. Facebook isn't the best place for stories like this, but… it's what I have at the moment.

My name is James Turner, and I have known Briane Jennifer Webb for about a year now. In that time, I have learned quite a bit about her, her approach to teaching, and about the intentions behind her development of WebbSprout Learning Programs.

I have watched as she meets both student(s) and parent(s) WHERE THEY ARE. Briane doesn't force either into positions or expectations that “standardized education” is built upon. She takes them as they are, and focuses her efforts on that reality.

I have watched both the visible and the behind-the-curtain work she does as she develops a tailored program for those students. I have seen how she explains it to the parents.

I have some special needs children myself, and can truly appreciate the value in how Briane teaches. I wish it had been available for my kids a generation ago.

I have watched her develop programs for groups of children. I am watching with great interest the launch of her Connected CuriosityTM through Autism Services of Saskatoon tomorrow. I genuinely believe that Briane has developed a way to impart digital literacy to her students! 😲 She will be giving them the tools to use their devices as aids to thinking, as opposed to replacements for thinking. They will learn to ask better questions of the Internet, and how to make better use of the answers.

If that was as much as I knew, that would be enough to make me want to lend a hand. Above and beyond all of this, however, Briane is an advocate, for her individual students, for students like them that don't fit into standardized models, and for changes to the systems that aren't currently equipped to deliver anything but standardized education, with standardized results.

Like most small business entrepreneurs, she wears ALL the hats. That's OK 🙄 in the beginning, but with success comes growth, with some of those hats get bigger, and more burdensome. Admin and Marketing tasks start to get in the way of the ACTUAL work. Start to finish, Briane is an educator, and a damn good one.

So, I have decided to actively lend a hand. I was an entrepreneur for pretty much my entire professional career. I am now giving that experience and knowledge to Briane. I will be taking on some of the communication, sales, and marketing duties so that she can do what she does best. When you reach out to WebbSprout Learning Programs now, I will now be your first point of contact. Responding through [email protected] or WebbSprout's Messenger, I will take care of the initial contact, and some of the follow-up.

If your child(ren) needs more than the standardized education, learning to navigate social interactions as a neurodivergent, or are in need of digital literacy, I am looking forward to talking with you.

Yay for inclusion!! So proud to have grown up as a Girl Guide. 🦉💙☘️

Inclusion makes Girl Guides of Canada stronger. It ensures that girls and youth have a place to build confidence, develop the skills to thrive and connect with a community that sees them for who they truly are.

Girl Guides of Canada welcomes all girls – cisgender and transgender – as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in spaces that focus on and are driven by the experience of girls.

This makes me very hopeful that things will start to change, providing more opportunities for all kids to thrive and learn at school.

In response to Inclusion Canada's report "Pushed Out: The Harmful Effects of Partial Day Schooling," IEC would like to offer this Guide for Organizations. We are all working together to end the practice of involuntary partial-day schooling.

Finding the right kind of support for kids can be difficult, especially when they don’t fit well in busy or traditional settings. I wanted to let you know about the kind of work I do, and that I’m starting to form a couple of small groups for January through WebbSprout Learning Programs as we head into the end of the year and set goals for 2026.

I don’t do big advertising, and my programs are home-based, small, and very relationship-driven. They aren’t right for everyone, but for the kids they fit, they tend to fit really well. This post is mostly here so families can get a sense of whether this sounds like their child.

Saturday Morning Girls Group (Grades 3–6)
This group is designed to be quiet, cozy, creative, and low-pressure, and it reflects a lot of my experience working with girls in this age range. It often ends up feeling similar to a very small, informal Girl Guides–type space, but without the fixed structure. The group is more interest-driven and self-guided, with me providing the learning framework and scaffolding.

The focus is on literacy, numeracy, creativity, and confidence through things like crafts, stories, games, and shared projects. Social dynamics and friendship naturally come up at this age, but they aren’t treated as the main focus. Instead, the goal is to offer a calm, supportive space where girls can connect, explore, and build relationships at their own pace.

Project-Based STEAM Group (Upper Elementary)
This group is for kids of all genders who are genuinely interested in learning and building things together. It will be interest-driven and project-based, with my support and scaffolding. I’m intentionally hoping for a mixed group where everyone brings different strengths, and the group works together to decide what they want to explore, design, or investigate. Shared projects often make it easier for kids to connect, even when they’re different ages or coming in a little guarded.

Both groups will be very small, with a sweet spot of about four kids in the space at a time. I use a flexible but predictable attendance model so families don’t have to commit every single week, but kids still know what to expect and who they’ll be with. Details like exact days and times are still being finalized based on the needs of families who have already reached out.

All students go through an intake process to make sure it’s a good fit on both sides. If you’re curious, there’s no wrong way to start. You can message me here, or visit my website to learn more, see my approach, and get in touch.

If this sounds interesting but a little confusing, that’s okay. If it sounds intriguing and like it might fit your child, that’s usually a good sign to reach out and start a conversation.

Warmly,
Ms. Webb
