For all College of Law students! This would be great networking event especially if you are interested in litigation or the judiciary.

The CBA Women Lawyers Section Saskatchewan will be hosting the “Celebrating Success of Women Judges: Reception fr All Lawyers and Judges” on Thursday March 13, 2025, beginning at 4:30 pm at the Saskatoon Club. This event will honour and acknowledge women members of the judiciary who were newly appointed or newly elevated on the bench.

Students from the College of Law are invited to attend.

Meet our 2024/2025 Women in Law Co-Presidents

✨Fakeha Jamil is a 3L, one of the founders of Women in Law at USASK, and is returning for her second year of co-presidency.
Fun Fact: Fakeha is also the president of Green Legal.

✨Priya Braithwaite is a 2L, and was one of the 1L representatives last year for Women in Law.
Fun Fact: Priya wrote her graduate thesis on how intersectional/transnational feminism plays a crucial role in understanding women’s rights.

We are so extremely lucky and proud to have these ladies lead us this year!

WiL is thrilled to announce the first Women in Law Movie Night! We will be screening “Barbie: The Movie” on Wednesday, November 1 at 4:30pm in Room 150. Everyone is welcome to attend. Popcorn and snacks will be provided at the start of the film. Before the film begins, we will have a discussion with guest speaker Professor Jamesy Patrick.
