Book Week 2025 Highlight!
Home Style Teachers submitted the titles Hunting With My Dad, Hunting in the Cabin, and Ice Fishing with Dad for Book Week 2025. Thank you to the books’ author, Patty Torrance, for presenting these stories at the Nipawin Public Library on October 7 during Preschool Storytime for kindergarteners, local children, and their parents. After the reading, Patty led the children in creating their own bookmarks.

Feeling so lucky to be creating this story with Emilee—her art, her knowledge, and the way she shares her culture are truly something special. I’m soaking up every moment of this journey and can’t wait for the world to see what we create together.

The time has come, I have decided to officially slow down with my business to focus on work, school, and our adoption journey. My books will still be available on Amazon and I may publish as a hobby but I will no longer be teaching (except Miumiu of course) or taking on new guest authors.

To every incredible guest author I’ve had the joy of working with—thank you. You’ve made this journey so special. I encourage everyone reading this to support them in small but powerful ways: follow their social media, buy a book, leave a review, or request their book at your local library (yes, most receive payment for this).

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for your continued support over the years. This isn’t a goodbye—just a pause, so I can pour more into the things that matter most right now.
