🍧 Slushy Day is Back—Tomorrow! 🔬
Drop in now!🔥
Get ready for one of our most exciting and refreshing science activities—Slushy Day is happening tomorrow at camp!

Using the melting point manipulation theory, kids will turn juice into slush with salt and ice, learning how salt lowers the melting point of ice to create the perfect chilly treat. 🧊✨ Science has never tasted so cool!

But that’s not all—we have a full day of fun planned:
🐾 Know Your Animal Prints – Create foam animal print stamps
🎆 Fireworks in Water / Lava Lamp – Explore density through colorful, bubbly reactions
🎬 Movie Time – We’ll end the day relaxing with a movie while the kids enjoy the slushies they made themselves!

🌿 Today, we also had a blast learning how to identify simple & compound leaves
☀️ We built solar ovens, made sundials to tell time using the sun, and had fun learning about bugs and their habitats!

It’s been a week full of hands-on science and summer fun at Wowl STEAM Lab!

✨ Science in Action! 🔬
Today, Wowl Steam Lab was invited by Open Door Society Saskatoon to host a fun and educational science show.

We explored pH experiments using everyday items like vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, and baking soda, watching the colorful reactions.

🌈 The kids learned about acids and bases and filled in their own pH scales using the colors they observed—such a creative and hands-on way to learn!

Everyone did an amazing job experimenting and having fun! We’ll keep doing science for the rest of the week at Wowl STEAM Lab! Here’s the daily highlight activities for the rest of the week: Wednesday: Sundials- Time Telling ⏳
Thursday: make slushies!(in science way)🍧

🌿 Wowl STEAM Lab Summer Camp: Explore Nature Week! 🌿

This week, our campers are diving into the beauty of nature through hands-on science and art! 🎨🧪🦋

On Tuesday, we’re heading outside to collect natural treasures and create stunning Herbarium Art!
🌿 Learn to identify different plants (trees, flowers, grasses)
🍃 Explore textures, shapes, and colours in nature
🎨 Turn leaves and petals into beautiful, one-of-a-kind artwork!

Back inside, the fun continues with more nature-inspired activities:

💎 Grow sparkling crystals and explore how they form!

🍧 Slushy Science = Summer Fun!
Today at Wowl STEAM Lab, our little scientists made their own slushies — and they were a hit! 😋 Everyone had a blast learning the science behind freezing while enjoying the tasty results. A perfect way to cool off and kick off summer learning!

🎉 And tomorrow is the grand finale of Week 1 Summer Camp for our curious campers (ages 4–9+), packed with fun, creativity, and hands-on science:
