As Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week comes to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible Parent Council and wider school community for the kindness and generosity shown to our staff throughout the week.

The thoughtful gestures, treats, notes, and words of appreciation were truly overwhelming. Our staff felt deeply valued and celebrated, and it meant so much to each and every one of us.

We feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside your children each day. It is a privilege to support their learning, growth, and well-being, and your ongoing partnership makes our school community so special.

Grade 8 students can explore 10 different SPS secondary schools, each with its own unique programs and school culture. Join us at one or more February open houses to discover what each collegiate offers and find the best fit for your high school journey.

🎉 Young Entrepreneurs in Action! 🎉

We are so proud of our Grade 7 and 8 students who recently participated in the Young Entrepreneur Fair—and what a huge success it was!

Through this experience, students applied real-world learning by developing business ideas, creating products and services, managing budgets, setting prices, and practicing marketing and communication skills. They demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and resilience—key skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

A heartfelt thank you to our families and community members who came out to support our young entrepreneurs. Your encouragement, questions, and purchases helped make this authentic learning experience meaningful and memorable for our students.

Seeing our school and community come together to support student learning was truly inspiring. Well done to our Grade 7 and 8 entrepreneurs—we can’t wait to see where your ideas take you next! 🌟

Roland Michener’s School Community Council Annual General Meeting is on Monday September 22 at 6:00pm in the Library.
