Sometimes, moving forward starts with believing you can.

At Literacy Lambton, we help adults build confidence, strengthen their skills and take greater control of their lives through learning.

Whether your goal is greater independence, finding employment, upgrading high school credits, preparing for post-secondary education or an apprenticeship, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

We believe everyone can succeed through learning. And sometimes, the first step is simply having someone say, “Let’s see what’s possible.”

Could we help you take your next step?
Let’s talk.📞 519-332-4876

As we near back to school season, keep these positive affirmations in your back pocket. These are part of a SEL resource series developed by our friends in literacy, PEI Literacy Alliance
💪🧠
Did you know that positive affirmations are part of our Train Your Brain program? Accepting failure as part of the journey to successful learning and adopting a growth mindset are important parts of our program.
📣
Parents, if you have children starting Grades three or four this September, add a reminder to register for our FREE evening program. Registration opens online September 1st at 9am. Details on our website literacylambton.org under the programs tab.

The words children repeat to themselves can influence how they approach learning, mistakes and new challenges.

Positive affirmations can help children replace discouraging thoughts with reminders that support confidence, patience and perseverance.

Try choosing one affirmation to practice together:

“I can ask for help.”
“Mistakes help me learn.”
“I can keep practicing.”
“I am brave.”
“I am proud of myself.”

Affirmations do not mean pretending everything is easy. They remind children that they can learn, grow and ask for support along the way.
