🏅 HISTORY IN MOTION
The starter’s horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary School—and with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meet— with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers they’d never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasn’t just a meet—it was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

A reminder of our Kindergarten Registration & Open House TONIGHT from 4-7pm at the school. We hope to see many of our newest Lightning and their families there! Please call the school with any questions you might have.

You don't want to miss this!!!!

A reminder of our upcoming Kindergarten Registration & Open House this Wednesday, May 29th from 4-7pm. At this time, you and your child will be able to see one of our kindergarten classrooms, tour the school, meet and interact with some of our kindergarten staff, and meet other new kindergarten families and students.
When you come, if we haven't already done so, we can complete the registration process with you. Please remember to bring:
- Birth certificate or proof of Canadian Citizenship (e.x., Passport, Native Status Card) or Residency Status
- Work or Study Permit (if appropriate)
- Proof of residency (e.g., utility or tax bill, deed, lease/rental agreement, etc.)
- Your child
