Congratulations to Mustafa and Riley (both grade eight) for doing so well at the recent Canada-Wide Science Fair held in Ottawa. Mustafa received a bronze award for his work entitled, 'Thoughts to Text: A Novel Approach to BCIs' and Riley came home with a silver award for his work, 'Breaking the Ice: Measuring the Environmental Impact of Road Removal Substances.' Way to go Eagles!

Errol Village Public School's very own Ahmed, a grade 7 student, recently completed a term as Legislative Page at Queen's Park in Toronto. Ahmed served as a messenger on the floor of the Legislative Chamber, met key parliamentary figures and learned about Ontario's parliamentary system of government. Way to go, Ahmed! We are very of you!

Ontario Parliament Education at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario

Students from Mrs. Kerwin's grade 6/7 class have been doing a lot of reading for the County of Lambton's 'Class of the Classrooms' program. A part of the initiative asks students to create visual representations of characters from a book. This character is from 'Walking in Two Worlds' by Wab Kinew.

Tomorrow, a Family Literacy Day Festival will be happening in Sarnia. Check out the attached poster for details.

Mustafa, a grade 8 student from LKDSB's own Errol Village Public School was selected, and is currently serving as a Legislative Page at Queen's Park in Toronto.

Each year approximately 150 Ontario students are selected to participate in Ontario's Legislative Page Program, providing them the opportunity to experience the provincial legislature in action and forge new, lifelong friendships with peers from all over the province.
