🍦 A Sweet Treat for an AMAZING Team! 💕

Today we treated our incredible Beacons of Light Daycare staff to some ice cream as a small way of saying a very BIG thank you!

Every day, our educators bring patience, compassion, creativity, laughter, and so much heart into the lives of the children and families we serve. The work they do matters, and we are so grateful for each and every one of them. ❤️

They spend their days making childhood a little brighter—so today, we made their day a little sweeter! 🍦✨

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Miss Cassie! Cassie is the assistant supervisor and RECE in one of our Preschool room 🍎
We love Cassie for her never ending flow of engaging, exciting and entertaining program planning, joyful personality, and commitment to the well being of our centre 🥳
Here’s some fun facts about Cassie:

“Hi, I’m Cassie. I enjoy spending time with my family and making memories with my two daughters, Whether we’re out on an adventure or simply enjoying time together.

In my free time, I love going to the movies, spending time with friends, and relaxing around a campfire.

I love being an RECE because I believe that the little moments can make the biggest impact in a child’s life. If I can make a difference in even one child’s day or help them feel valued and confident,then I know what I do truly matters.”

Wow!! It takes teamwork and strength to ride a 3 person bike 🚲
Recently we surprised the kiddos in our programs with new materials-look at these smiling faces 💕 nothing beats seeing cooperative play in action!

STAFF HIGHLIGHT ❤️

Recently, our team welcomed Sky ✨ Sky is an RECE in our Toddler program. She’s been an amazing asset to our team and we are so excited for our families to get to know her more

Here are some fun facts about our lovely Sky 🎉

“I have a cat, he is very cuddly and loving, I love cows and I like to hang out with family and friends. What I enjoy about being an educator is watching the children hitting each milestone in their own way and I like helping them to meet their accomplishments in life. It brings me the most joy in life knowing I get a chance to be in their life. I also look at every child like my own even when I don't have any yet in life.”

🧱✨ Building together, learning together in our school age class!

Today the children worked collaboratively to create, problem solve, and share ideas with their peers. Through building experiences, children strengthen communication, teamwork, creativity, and confidence.

This reflects the ELECT principles of children being capable, competent learners who develop through meaningful play and relationships. 💛

STAFF HIGHLIGHT 💕
Today we would like to highlight our RECE Lesley of our school aged classroom! Our team, and our children love Lesley for her fun loving, caring personality and amazing program in her school aged classroom.
Here’s a few fun facts about Lesley 💕

“I'm very random, I will always give anybody a benefit of the doubt no matter what the situation will be or look like. I always look at both perspectives. I love being an educator because kids make me happy they bring joy to my life! I'm very grateful for the life I live with these kids, they bring a lot of better outlook to my life and I'm very grateful for that I thank all the people that work with me because they make me a better person and stronger educator and I'm thankful for all of them! Thank you for building me up and making me learn and I'm grateful for that and these kids make me know that I'm doing this thing for a reason my life my job for a reason!”

Summer Camp is in session!
These campers were having a blast building towers, tents, and structures with marshmallows and popsicle sticks 🏕️

Big news from Beacons of Light Daycare!
As of this evening we are officially licensed to open our new preschool and school aged classrooms! 🎉
We are so excited to continue to serve our communities and looking forward to all new-and returning-families in our growing centre 💕
