🚒🔥 A huge thank you to Sarnia Fire Rescue for visiting our Kindergarten and Grade 1/2 students today!

Our students enjoyed an engaging and informative presentation about fire safety. They learned what to do if there is a fire in their home, the importance of having a family meeting spot, and were challenged to go home and find the smoke detectors on every floor of their house.

Students also had the opportunity to learn about the important equipment firefighters wear to keep themselves safe while helping others. They were fascinated by the specialized tools firefighters use to see through smoke and even got an up-close look at one of the tools used in the Jaws of Life.

Thank you to the firefighters for sharing your knowledge and letting us hear the engine honk and see the lights!

A huge thank you to all of our students and families who joined us for Meet the Teacher Night this evening!

It was wonderful to see our school filled with excitement as families connected with their child’s teacher, visited classrooms, completed student passports, checked out QE spirit wear, met members of our Parent Council, and explored the Book Fair.

We truly appreciate the incredible support from our QE community. It was fantastic to meet so many families and see everyone ready for a wonderful school year ahead. Thank you for making the evening such a success!

Today, September 30th, is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

At QE Sarnia, our students and staff are wearing orange to honour residential school survivors, their families, and communities, and to reaffirm that Every Child Matters, every day. Our learning and reflection is focused on truth and healing.

Thank you to our QE family for standing together in memory, respect, and reconciliation.
