The Music Room - A Music for Young Children Studio

A parent or guardian attends every weekly lesson creating a special time for you and your child. You learn the concepts alongside your child, allowing you to support them by showing them it is safe and fun to dance, sing, play the piano while also supporting home practice. I wanted to give a shout out to 2 of my students who completed their Royal Conservatory exams. Brother and sister, they both went through the MYC program and completed the Moonbeams 3 level. Kenzie completed the Level 5 RCM exam with Honours and Colton completed the Level 3 with First Class Honours. Congratulations to both! I’m SO proud of you!! 🙌🙌🙌🙌

Best last class ever! First we listened to songs from different genres to see who could guess the genre. Then we played “Slappy Facts” where each student takes turns using the sticky slapper to pick up a circle off the mat. Each circle has a music term that they had to ask the opposing team either the meaning of the term or the term given the definition. Last we played scrabble twister where each student had to find the letters of 4 letter music terms like beat, bass or clef. I’ve never laughed so hard in class. It was SO much fun!

So proud of my Moonbeams graduates. They were an awesome bunch and I had so much fun teaching them this year!
