Great to see members of OPSEU Local 128 from Sarnia Jail out today for the 3rd Annual Run for the Front Line in support of Boots on the Ground!

Boots on the Ground provides confidential peer support to Ontario’s correctional workers, while this event brings together first responders, frontline workers and community members to support mental health and wellness.

A great example of our local labour community coming together to support those who spend their working lives supporting others. 💙🥾

🏃‍♂️ Supporting Boots on the Ground 🥾

Today, members of OPSEU Local 128 from Sarnia Jail came out to participate in the 3rd Annual Run for the Front Line 5K/10K at Canatara Park.

The event brings together first responders and frontline workers from across our community to recognize those who spend their careers supporting and helping others.

We’re especially proud to support this event because the proceeds have gone to Boots on the Ground each year, helping provide peer support to Ontario’s correctional workers and supporting the mental health of those who work behind the walls.

It was great to have three members from Sarnia Jail out representing Corrections alongside so many other frontline professionals. And of course, Ollie was there to represent too! 🐾

A big thank you to the organizers, volunteers and everyone who came out to support such an important cause.
