Burton Hockey Academy

It's the 5th Anniversary for Burton Hockey Academy today. Things started August 19th, 2019 in Mooretown, where we had five, young skaters. It's almost unimaginable how far things came from that moment, and how many skaters across the Sarnia-Lambton area and Wingham and surrounding area there have been on the ice with BHA!

It's fitting that today marks our last session of the summer.

Thanks to everyone that has helped and supported BHA along the way.

No better way to test the edgework Coach Julia worked on earlier with you than a good, old game of (traditional) British Bulldog!

Reminder that we are not on the ice next (holiday) Monday, and when we return, we will be on PASA 2.

I definitely am in need of some conditioning, but the kids had quite a motor through Week 1! Great work everyone!

Cool side note -- adding to the geography of BHA -- we had our first skater from Florida out with us! Thanks for joining us, Liam!

Pretty amazing work happening in Edmonton at the Brick Invitational for the 2014 age group!

The Toronto Bulldogs are off to a 5-0 start in the tournament. The team is comprised of five local players (my knowledge) in Lincoln Bucci (Sarnia), Liam Kenny (Wallaceburg), Max Mari (Stratford), W***y Roke (Port Stanley) and Jonathan Wammes (Amherstburg).

Kenny leads the team with 3 goals and 8 assists in 5 games played!!!

Monday Rush is closing in!

There is still some room available in both groups if you are interested in your child attending.

The skates will be heavily focused on skating and puck skills as players gear up for another year of hockey!

July 8th | July 15th | July 22nd | July 29th (PASA 1)

Summer Skills & Skating Development
@ Progressive Auto Sales Arena

Starting July 8th, BHA will host a weekly skills and skating development skates for two groups -- U10 [2015-18] and U14 [2011-14].

BHA is also pleased to announce that we will have a Julia Gosling help coaching the last five skates! Julia is an up-and-coming force in Women's hockey, and has declared herself for the PWHL draft this season! A projected top 10 draft selection, Julia just finished her tenure at St. Lawrence University [NCAA], where she was the Captain of her team. The former London Devilettes forward also has represented Team Canada on several occasions, most recently helping our National team win Gold at the Women's World Championships in Utica, NY! BHA is very honoured to have Julia helping work with the youth in our area!

BHA Revolution 17's having a blast!

The best part of not having coaching duties is I can actually find time to capture some action with a camera!

The youngest team (of all the teams) in the tournament battled from start to finish and grew in leaps and bounds! Seeing the smiles on their faces during the last outing was amazing!
