HISTORY IN MOTION
The starterâs horn sounded at Great Lakes Secondary Schoolâand with it, a new LKDSB tradition was born.
For the first time, 531 elementary student athletes from across our entire bard came together for a unified Track & Field Meetâ with representation stretching from Wheatley to Grand Bend.
From powerful sprints to soaring jumps and electrifying relays, the day was filled with determination, sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments. Even more impactful? Students competing alongside peers theyâd never met before, building connections that reached far beyond the finish line.
This wasnât just a meetâit was the beginning of something bigger for LKDSB students.

Our Huskies may have been melting in the heat, but thanks to our dynamic language duoâMs. M and Mme Mâthey were still running, jumping, throwing, and thriving! With great coaching, endless encouragement, and perhaps a little magie (⏠ď¸French word đ) our athletes had a fantastic day and some even punched their ticket to Districts. Miigwech M&M for keeping the pack motivated, competitive, and smiling through one very hot day! We are proud of our huskies for the way they represent our pack on and off the track!

Big smiles from Mr. Barnes' ALLP classroom at Hanna Memorial Public School! âď¸
We want to send a heartfelt thank you to Gord and the members of the Sarnia Shriners Club for their incredibly generous donation. The new Easy Rider and spinning chair have quickly become absolute favorites in our classroom!
These wonderful resources provide vital sensory support, helping our students regulate, engage, and thrive throughout their school day. As you can see from their expressions, their smiles truly say it all.
Thank you, Sarnia Shriners Club, for your continued kindness and for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of our students!

Batter up! âžď¸ At the end of May, Mr. B and Mr. Dâs students knocked it out of the park during a fantastic friendly baseball game, beautifully hosted by King George. Coaches Mr. B and Mr. D went into the dugout fully anticipating a big win! While the competitive spirit was alive and well, the real victory was the incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and smiles shared by all of our students. We want to extend a massive thank you to the Blue Jays Care Program and King George for hosting such a wonderful event and giving our students an unforgettable day on the diamond. We are so grateful for your support!

Future designers, innovators, and... therapists in the making! đ§ đźđ¨
Our intermediate students completely blew us away with their incredible presentation skills and hard work during our Career Fair and Passion Project showcase. The amount of research and dedication put into each project was truly remarkable.
As you can see in the photo, our principal even stopped by for a quick, impromptu psychotherapy consultation! Judging by the laughter and that massive smile on the principal's face, we'd say this student is already a natural and well on their way to a highly successful career in the field.
Excellent job to all of our intermediate studentsâyou kept us informed, inspired, and clearly, highly entertained!

We were honoured to host a special appreciation breakfast to celebrate the remarkable volunteers who give selflessly to our school community.
Our volunteers make a profound difference in the lives of our students every single day. From the dedication it takes to shop for and coordinate our breakfast and snack programs, to the patient guidance provided during game changers (reading and mathematics support), their impact is immeasurable.
Beyond helping our students excel academically, our volunteers serve as vital role models, teaching children the true value of community service. Because of their time and heart, our students not only learn, but they also grow up feeling supported and cared for.
To all of our volunteers: **thank you** for your unwavering commitment to our students' success and well-being. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Bravo! đđĽ
A huge round of applause goes out to Ms. Mâs class for their incredible performance of The Veggie Thief! Everyone in the audience was absolutely blown away by the beautiful set design, the fantastic acting skills, and the wonderful humor packed into the show.
We loved following the cute story of a little skunk whose veggies were mysteriously disappearing from the community garden. By the end of the play, both the skunk and the sneaky rabbit learned the most important lesson of all: it is always great to share!
Way to go, Ms. M's class! You all worked so hard, and we are incredibly proud of our talented young stars. Well done!
