🎨This week, we focused on colors and discovered how they are all around us through fun, hands-on activities!🎨

On Wednesday, River Room celebrated our 4th Annual Tie-Dye Day!

The children had a wonderful time creating their own colorful masterpieces while exploring color mixing, creativity, and self-expression. It was a vibrant day full of smiles, laughter, and beautiful creations that we can't wait for you to see!

Week 2 of our summer programming

🌊water week🌊

💦 The children had so much fun exploring the many ways we can experience water play this week!

🏝️ River Room created a beach in their tuff tray for their sea creatures, encouraging imaginative play and creativity.

🌊 Train Room explored blue water and sea creatures in their sensory bins, engaging their senses while learning through play.

🍋🥤 Outdoors, the children had a blast running their very own lemonade stand at the water tables, combining imaginative play with plenty of opportunities to cool off!

It was a wonderful week filled with exploration, creativity, and laughter—a perfect way to beat the heat! ☀️💙

Painting with N A T U R E 🌱🌾

Today River Room went on a small adventure to find “natural paintbrushes “

On our walk we found:
-clover flowers
-tall grass
-sticks
-mulch pieces

The children took such joy in looking for materials that they could manipulate and create with!

Once we got back to the playground we started to create a process art project. We used our different materials to create different patterns and shapes!

We received the most uplifting surprise from Parent Association of the Sangudo Storm and the Sangudo Fire Community Foundation!

Our entire center was treated to hotdogs for afternoon snack! This is yet another way that SCAD has been able to join our community at large. We are truly blessed to be included in Sangudo Community School end of year celebration 🎊

Today Miss Jamy inspired River Room with wool from her freshly sheared sheep! 🐑

The children reveled in exploring the texture of the wool, and their comments about the smell were simply delightful!

We celebrated using 4 of our 5 senses to experience the wool, sparking curiosity and wonder.

At SCAD we passionately encourage our children to discover the beauty in the natural world around them.

We also empower our teachers to bring innovative ideas to their classroom, enriching play and learning.
