Free Class Tonight || Coming Home to the Body🌱
The body is one of the most immediate and accessible resources we have, especially in moments when life feels intense or uncertain.
When we feel anxious or dysregulated, it’s natural to try to think our way through it, to analyze, to reframe, or to push ourselves to cope more effectively.
But in moments of intensity, it is often the body that offers a more direct way back to steadiness.
This free class is an invitation to come home through the body to find ground in times of overwhelm and uncertainty.
Using simple, guided practices, we’ll explore how to work from the bottom up, learning to orient, feel, and reconnect with ourselves in ways that support presence without becoming overwhelmed or shutting down.
This will be a one-hour class blending teaching and guided experiential practice, followed by 30 minutes for group reflection and Q&A.
Everyone is welcome; feel free to share with friends and family members who may be interested.
Friday, May 8
5:30–7:00 pm PST

There is a growing sense of uncertainty in the world right now that many of us can feel, even if we are not always naming it directly.
I can certainly feel it in my own life, and I’m hearing it more and more in the people I sit with each day.
They speak of a loss of ground, a growing concern about what lies ahead, and a deep uncertainty about how to show up and where to place their energy.
As a backdrop to our daily lives, this can be disorienting and exhausting. We may find ourselves caught in spirals of worry and urgency, or pulled in the opposite direction, toward shutting down and turning away.
It can become harder to stay present, harder to remain open, and harder to know how to respond at all.
And so I find myself asking, what does it actually take to build the capacity to stay present, even when life feels uncertain?
Capacity is not about resolving what is happening, nor about making it all feel better (as much as we might desire that); rather, capacity is what helps us to remain in contact with ourselves and the world without losing our centre.
This is an ongoing inquiry I’ve been working with in my own life and in my work, and something I also want to explore more intentionally in community spaces, so this May, I’ll be offering a small group space for learning, practice, and conversation, where we will explore how to build capacity, stay present, and meet the complexity of this time together.
If this calls to you, please join me for In the Midst of Uncertainty, starting May 21st, 2026.
You can find the link in my bio, and feel free to comment or DM me if you have any questions.

Today is my beloved familiar Eli’s 11th birthday! He came into my life when he was six months old and he has been by my side ever since.
I work from home and so we are always together. My days are shaped around his rhythms and though the last five years of housing insecurity have been made much more challenging having him with me, it has also been such a comfort.
I am deeply committed to giving him the best life that I can, even if I have to make personal sacrifices to do and nothing makes me happier than when I look outside in the midst of my workday and see him resting peacefully in the yard.
He is a quiet boy who loves to watch the world go by, but he is always so excited when someone comes up the drive to visit. ( he thinks every delivery driver and visitor has come just to see him!)
He is moving more slowly these days, but he still loves to go for long walks and runs around like a puppy if you play with him. And if he knows you, he will do a very special little dance every time he sees you.
There is something magical about the type of bond that one can have with a dog and I am so grateful that I get to walk by his side in this life. ♥️

It’s the Aries New Moon today, and I’m aware of how inflamed things feel right now.
The news cycle alone is enough to stir so much in the body and many of us are feeling a lot of grief and rage right now, and rightly so.
There is a mounting sense of pressure, and alongside that, all the personal challenges we are also attempting to carry.
Earlier this week, I reached out here and asked what people are managing that others might not always see, and I was honestly floored by the responses.
The level of honesty and vulnerability, the very real weight of what so many of us are living with right now.
There is a lot being held, often in silence, while we attempt to perform normalcy and keep showing up.
In times like this, it’s easy to want to turn away or to override what we’re feeling just to keep going.
But in my experience, this is exactly where capacity work becomes essential.
Not to feel less.
But to expand our ability to stay present with what is here.
Without collapsing,
Without shutting down,
Without burning out.
To feel what we feel, and still remain connected, to ourselves, to each other, to what matters.
This is not something we’re meant to do alone.
True capacity is something we build slowly, through practice, in relationship, and with care.
If you are looking for a space to practice this in, there is still time to join me for Tend & Befriend, a 6-week program where we work directly with the nervous system, somatic awareness, and parts work to build this kind of capacity gently and sustainably.
If you’ve been feeling the weight of things lately and wanting more support in how you meet it, you’re very welcome to join us.

✨ What if resilience isn’t just about calming ourselves…but about building the capacity to stay?
This morning, while preparing material for my somatic mindfulness class, I found myself returning to something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: the difference between nervous system regulation and nervous system capacity.
Many of us come to practices like mindfulness, yoga, or somatic work to steady ourselves, to find some ground when things feel overwhelming.
And this is important work.
Because regulation helps us return to baseline.
But over time, I’ve come to see that this is only part of the path, and the next step is to grow our capacity to be with our experience.
Because our capacity determines how much of life we can actually stay present for.
Without realizing it, our practices can begin to orient toward comfort rather than engagement. But capacity doesn’t grow through staying comfortable.
It grows at our edges.
When we gently meet what is here with support, curiosity, and care.
In my experience, this is what allows for a different kind of resilience. Not just the ability to calm ourselves, but the ability to stay engaged.
To feel.
To respond.
To remain connected.
Without burning out or turning away.
This is the foundation of the work we do inside Tend & Befriend, a 6-week small group program in somatic mindfulness and parts work.
Together we practice:
• tracking what’s happening in the body
• working with the different parts of ourselves
• staying with our experience without overriding or dissociating
We begin April 17th. There are still a few spaces open.
If this speaks to something you’re navigating right now, you’re very welcome to join us

There are ways of knowing that don’t move in straight lines.
You might recognize them from dreams, or from moments in meditation where an image surfaces without explanation.
Or perhaps the quiet, often surprising language that arises in somatic work when we begin to listen beneath the surface of thought.
These are not logical processes. They don’t organize themselves into neat conclusions or linear insight.
And yet, they often bring us closer to something true.
Symbolic thinking has the power to open up nonlinear, right-brain pathways to a deep knowing, or gnosis.
It is the language of the soul.
And one of the core practices I use to strengthen my ability to hear this language is to work with the tarot.
On April 3rd, I am starting a 3-part embodied tarot workshop that focuses on relating to the symbolism of the cards as a living, breathing language that speaks to us from within.
Rather than learning the cards from the top down, from books or from lists, I will invite you to read them from the bottom up: through embodied experience, the felt sense and your own intuitive knowing.
We’ll explore:
🪬The structure and symbolism of the Tarot deck
🪬The archetypes of the Major Arcana as thresholds of transformation
🪬Intuitive spreads, personal ritual, and daily draws for inner guidance
If you’ve ever been drawn to the Tarot as a mirror for your inner life, or if you’re looking for a way to deepen your intuition in community, I’d love to welcome you into this journey.

I’ve been sitting with a fair amount of uncertainty lately, which is never entirely comfortable.
Some key things are shifting in my life, and once again I find myself in a space where will and intention alone can’t guarantee outcome.
In moments like these, I notice how strong the pull is to resolve things quickly.
To find a plan.
An answer.
Something I can steady myself against.
But more often than not, what’s actually being asked of me is something else.
Which is to expand my capacity to stay.
To live inside the uncertainty of the moment, while also orienting to unknown possibilities.
This is when I find myself returning to practices that don’t rush me toward solutions, but rather, help me stay in contact with what’s unfolding.
Practices that help me sense my way through, rather than think my way out.
The tarot is one of those practices for me.
Not because it gives me answers, but because it invites me into a different kind of relationship with what I’m experiencing, one that moves through image, pattern, archetype and symbolism, rather than certainty.
It creates space for something to be felt or understood in a way that simply isn’t available through analysis alone.
And this is the ground we’ll be working from in Inner Arcanum, a three-week live series I’m beginning this Friday.
In this course, we will explore the tarot through embodied practice, direct experience, and personal inquiry.
It’s less about learning fixed meanings and more about developing a personal relationship with the imagery and what it evokes in you.
It’s a small, focused container, offering a space to stay with what’s here, and to listen for what is beginning to take shape.
If that feels aligned, you’re welcome to join us.

I got my first tarot deck when I was 15 years old. It was gifted to me at a time when I was just beginning to ask deeper questions of myself, and the world.
Since then, the cards have become one of my most trusted tools for self-reflection, creative insight, and inner guidance.
Over the years, my relationship with the tarot has deepened into something rich and layered. I don’t read the cards to predict the future.
I read them to listen.
To attune.
To dialogue with the deeper currents moving through my life.
When I teach tarot, I teach it as a relational practice.
That means we take our time.
We slow down.
We turn to the cards as wise mirrors.
And we learn to trust ourselves.
Rather than memorizing meanings from a book, I invite folks to read from the bottom up: from the body, from image and symbol, from sensation and intuition.
This is about cultivating an inner language, one that arises not from the intellect alone, but from our own felt experience.
If this way of working speaks to you, I’d love to have you join me for my upcoming workshop series where we will explore:
🪬The structure and symbolism of the Tarot deck
🪬The archetypes of the Major Arcana as thresholds of transformation
🪬Intuitive spreads, personal ritual, and daily draws for inner guidance
This will be a heartfelt, creative, and nourishing journey, one that honours the Tarot not as a fortune-telling tool, but as a deeply reflective, embodied art.
Whether you’re new to the Tarot or returning to it with fresh eyes, this is an invitation to come home to your inner knowing.

The Queen of Wands has always been one of my favourite cards in the tarot.
Often seen as the Witch of the Tarot, she holds the archetypal energy of the intuitive creatrix, the one who is bold, embodied, and unapologetically lit from within.
She knows how to tend her inner fire, name her desires, and share her warmth without burning out.
She reminds me that my power doesn’t come from force, but from being deeply resourced, self-aware, and connected to my inner knowing.
And like all the court cards, she can show up in many forms.
Court cards are often the trickiest to read. They’re shapeshifters, part person, part pattern.
But when we start to relate to them as inner voices or aspects of our own psyche, they can begin to speak to us in powerful ways.
The Queen of Wands might show up as the part of you that’s learning to trust your instincts. Or maybe she’s the spark of creativity that’s longing to come to life within you.
What do you feel when you behold her?
What does she stir in you?
This is the kind of symbolic, intuitive, body-based inquiry we’ll explore together in my upcoming 3-part workshop.

Meditation is a spell-breaking practice.
Spell breaking because it can help us see clearly when we’ve become caught in spirals of fear or rumination, liberate us from harmful ways of perceiving ourselves or the world.
This is key right now, as many of us are feeling the strain of this moment in time.
The ground feels less stable, there is a background of unease, and attention scatters more easily. Even with a practice, it can feel harder to stay oriented.
This is not a personal failing. It’s a very human response to uncertainty.
The Buddhist meditation traditions offer time-tested ways of working with states of unrest, not by bypassing them, but by meeting them with courage, discernment, and curiosity.
They teach us how to notice when we’ve become spell-bound, and how to return to aliveness.
Tomorrow I’ll begin a six-week embodied mindfulness program called Breaking the Trance: Meditation as Liberation Practice.
We’ll explore how trances of fear, anxiety, and misperception form, how they live in the body, and how they begin to loosen through careful attention and practice.
Together we will cultivate the capacity to stay present, responsive, and in contact, even when things feel challenging.
If this speaks to you, head to the link in my bio to find out more and register today.
