Daycare services get hopping again on Salt Spring Movement is happening in the world of early learning on Salt Spring Island as one daycare is set to re-open and another is working on opening for the first time. Tree Frog Daycare, which closed Nov. 30, 2021 due to combined staffing and housing

we are so pleased to be able to reopen, and were really fortunate to be able to take the time we needed to find staff, but it came at a cost, and any help would be greatly appreciated! (includes ways to donate and receive a tax receipt)

ECE-IT required for employment in our dynamic, rural daycare!
Tree Frog Daycare in Fulford on Salt Spring Island is a small, rural non profit center with a homey feel and an incredible outdoor play ground full of trees, natural spaces and gardening opportunity.
An Infant/Toddler License is required, and Special Needs License an asset, as this position is at a small daycare licensed for 4 Infant/Toddlers and 16 Preschool aged children. This position would be primarily in the Infant/Toddler program. We also provide care for children with special needs.
We are open year round, Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm. $2/hr ECE Wage Enhancement will also be added to the competitive hourly wage of qualifying staff.
Subs and Assistants would also be considered separately for employment on our team.
Qualifications:
Current Early Childhood Education and/or Infant/Toddler Educator License to Practice is a must.
Special Needs Educator Licenses an asset.
Current First Aid Certification required.
Current Criminal Record Check required
