💙 Honoring the Life and Legacy of Lyle Chapman 💙
It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Lyle Chapman, a cherished member of the Shuswap community and a dedicated educator, leader, and friend.
Born on September 13, 1972, Lyle's life was one of purpose, connection, and service. From his early years in Haida Gwaii to his impactful career as a teacher, counsellor, and principal, Lyle devoted 28 years to creating safe, supportive, and inspiring spaces for students and staff. His passion for fostering growth and community lives on in the lives he touched.
Beyond his professional achievements, Lyle found immense joy with his family and friends. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, attending concerts, or being a proud “girl dad,” his vibrant spirit was a light to all who knew him.
Lyle’s legacy continues through the Lyle Chapman Memorial Fund, held with the Shuswap Community Foundation. This fund supports causes close to his heart, ensuring that his passion for education and community will make a difference for years to come.
