The BESS is the representative body of Bioresource Engineering students at McGill University's Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences

The Bioresource Engineering Student Society (BESS) is the association for the students enrolled in the Bioresource B.Eng program at McGill University. The Department of Bioresource is internationally recognized and renowned for its rigorous academic standards, its outstanding faculty, and its commitment to research. The departmartment offers streams in various areas of biosystems and bioresource in which students are involved in. These include:

- Ecological Engineering (ecosystem modeling, design, management, and remediation)

- Water Resources Management (hydrology, irrigation, drainage, water quality)

- Mechatronics and Robotics

- Food Engineering and Processing

- Post Harvest Technology

- Plant and Animal Environments

- Waste Management and the protection of the environment

- Artificial Intelligence

- Agricultural Machinery

- Where: Watson Field (near the CC)
- Pizza and refreshments will be provided including BEvERages for later in the evening 🍕

- What: A way for new bioresource eng students to get to know their peers as well as U2+ students. Expect to be egg🥚balancing, bridge👷building, and three-legged relay racing 🏃during the earlier hours, followed by a Sainte Anne crawl at some BREE students' houses 🍻🏠where you'll learn bioresource traditions and play more get-to-know-bree games. the evening ends at Dolly Parton Ceilidh night!! 🪩

🚨Special BESS event coming!! For the last bull night of the year 2023-2024 BESS will organize a pre-game in ste-anne to get you ready to ride the bull🐂🎉

For the special occasion there will be a special drink cooked by the best brewers in BESS🧑‍🍳🍵 Little clue, it’s based out of lemon🤫🍋 And maybe ypu will be able to buy other things on place🪡🌄

Tickets will be needed to buy things on place with the zeffy link🎟️🫙

Games will also be organized at the location🎯🎲
Get you cowboy’s hat, flannel and friends ready for this crazy event🤠🤪

RDB💪😎: Gathering of engineering students organized by Sherbrook’s University💚💛 Buses will depart from McGill downtown, they will drop us to a secret location and will return downtown late at night🚌🌝 Really fun event and a nice way to pre the bree banquet on the next day 🥳🎉 Tickets start at 18$.
