Cheers to spring and homemade Dandelion tea 🌼

A few weeks ago we introduced the concept of Hygge and the intent of finding ways to stay warm and cozy through the cold months. Today the kids decided to create some Hygge time in the sun on our coldest day so far this winter. Love seeing the kids take these ideas and make them their own!

When it's 17 degrees in the middle of November, you go adventuring!!

Getting ready for Thanksgiving...what are you thankful for? The kids have their answers and they're filling up the branches of our beautiful thankfulness tree!!

UPDATE!! Due to the new Covid restrictions and considering the current situation, it does not seem in the best interest of the children to be offering group programs at this time. We will re-evaluate in December/January to consider if a winter session will be possible. If so, we will revive the giveaway at that time!

To celebrate our 1 year anniversary and the introduction of our new programs, we are offering a giveaway for a FREE FAMILY PASS!! This pass provides full access to all of our programs for the upcoming fall session!

We are an early learning centre that has being offering quality after school care for the past year, and is now branching out to offer new programs that provide opportunities for local families to engage with each other while we facilitate activities and materials that foster a variety of developmental skills, creativity, imagination, and more!

While we are not a Montessori centre, we do try and incorporate aspects of the Montessori method and materials whenever we can. When a student requested additional math activities, it seemed like a fitting time to introduce the hundred board!

Among other things, this Montessori material offers exploration of number recognition and number sequencing within units of ten.

Happy Earth Day! This week, so far, we have been celebrating by making paper from our recycling bin scraps and new tree shaped crayons from all our broken pieces!
