On 9 March 2026, Jill joined us to share her vision for Manchester.
She spoke about how local government works, the role of local politics, and the responsibilities of local councillors in supporting their communities.
Jill explained how councillors represent local residents, help address community issues, and work with different organisations to improve local services.
The session helped us better understand how local decisions are made and how communities can take part in shaping their city.

We discussed paid employment and its social value.We also reflected on working from home, full-time parenting and supporting family members on an unpaid basis.Volunteering was another important part of the conversation.

On 13 February 2026, Samer joined us to explain the difference between interpreting and translating.
Interpreting focuses on spoken language. It often happens in real time, such as in meetings or appointments.
Translating works with written texts. It requires careful attention to detail and accuracy.
Samer highlighted the different skills needed for each role, including cultural awareness and clear communication.

🌙 Eid Celebration at All In One Learning Centre | 25 March 2026
Today we came together to celebrate Eid with a shared meal at the centre.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and a real sense of community. Everyone brought something to share, making the celebration even more meaningful.

It was also lovely to welcome back our guest Roshna, who joined us again after visiting last year. It was great to reconnect and have her celebrate with us.

Events like this are more than just celebrations.
They help us build connections, understand different cultures, and create a space where everyone feels included.
