Cowboy Caviar Jerky Bites: Ordered via traditional paper forms through our students! (See comments for order form.)

Important Date: Both fundraisers end on October 19—be sure to get your orders in before the deadline!

🧡 Orange Shirt Day: Every Child Matters 🧡

Our school community will come together to recognize Orange Shirt Day and honour the survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. This serves as a meaningful opportunity for our students to learn about history, practice empathy, and reflect on the importance of kindness, inclusion, and respect.

Important Dates & Details:

Tuesday, September 29th (Wear Orange!): We will officially recognize Orange Shirt Day at school. Please send your child wearing an orange shirt.

Wednesday, September 30th (No School): There will be no school in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

How to Participate at Home:

Talk at Home: Ask your child about what "Every Child Matters" means to them.

Spread Kindness: Remind your child that their voices, feelings, and unique stories matter every single day.

Let's flood our hallways with orange on September 29th as a reminder that every child is valued, loved, and respected!

WE ARE SO CLOSE TO OUR NEW PLAYGROUND!

Dear Families,

We need your help to cross the finish line! Our upcoming fundraiser is right around the corner, and every single dollar raised goes directly back to supporting our kids and school.

This fundraiser helps power so many wonderful programs—including our hot lunch days and essential school resources—and right now, we are so close to reaching our biggest target: a brand-new playground! 🛝✨

Here is how you can help us reach our goal:

Support the Fundraiser: Check your child’s backpack next week for details on how to participate.

Share with Friends & Family: Pass our fundraiser info along to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and neighbours.

Spread the Word: Share this post on your own page to help us reach more people!

Our students deserve a fun, safe, and modern place to play, and with your help, we know we can make this dream a reality.

🧡 Honouring Orange Shirt Day with Cree Teachings 🧡

Today, Mrs. Anderson’s class put up a miniature tipi and display in preparation for Orange Shirt Day!

While building, the students learned about the 12 poles of the tipi, which represent the values learned throughout the journey of life:
• Childhood: Respect, Obedience, Humility
• Teen Years: Happiness, Love, Faith
• Adulthood: Kinship, Cleanliness, Thankfulness
• Elders: Good Child-Rearing, Hope, Strength

Hands-on cultural learning like this helps us honour the day in a meaningful way. Great job!
